Chanting is a spiritual discipline believed to improve listening skills, heighten energy and make us more sensitive toward others. It is found in many Eastern and Western religious traditions and also has the physical effect of relaxing the body, slowing down the nervous system and calming the mind.

The Hindu chant AUM is the basic sound of the universe, so by chanting it, we are symbolically and physically acknowledging our connection to nature and all other living beings.
