Simon O'Rourke, National Education Coordinator, 17 September 1pm
We live in a world that is becoming increasingly secular, where many in their working lives are expected to adhere to commercial mission statements and to make sacrifices, where people are increasingly seeking spiritual freedom, describing themselves as Spiritual-but-not-Religious, seeking a deeper understanding of life.
Simon will be exploring the Three Great Truths talked about in Theosophical literature, which can lead to us finding that inner Light, which may dispel our own darkness of illusion.
Simon O'Rourke has been involved with the Theosophical Society for more than twenty years, having participated on Lodge and National committees. He is a past Lodge President of Blavatsky Lodge, Sydney. He was formerly a Treasurer for several years of the Theosophical Order of Service, Sydney. He worked two years as a full- time staff member in the position of Lodge Manager for Blavatsky Lodge.
Currently the National Education Coordinator of The Theosophical Society in Australia, Simon has given many talks and study courses, particularly courses covering The Secret Doctrine, The Mahatma Letters, The Bhagavad Gita and the Ancient Wisdom in Mythology. In a former life, he worked in IT, within the NSW Government service.
